Beacon’s Light
Journeys end by Yeshua’s light
Beacons light,
On yonder’s distant shore,
Captains look out spies.
Amidst turbulent oceanic waves tore,
Spotted hopes, referenced mapped lines.
In darkest night, arrived.
Bells tolled,
Barefoot calloused feet responding,
Poring life, from bilge to berth, rolled,
Souls, Sailors, hands to main mast-
Rough hempen ropes slack tied fast,
Taught, prepared, for landfall untold.
Granite weathered crags,
Revealed by sun’s first fitful rays,
Upon tides rising and falling, crashing waves.
New hopes distant promise-realized.
Home finally returned,
In that golden-dipped dazzling dawn sky.
Journeys end by Yeshua’s light
Through waters darkest depths, and depressions ponderous night.
Waves as trials and tribulation both, betwixt alight
Undefeated-conquerors according to our faith.
Lain down in golden, heavenly Jerusalem’s sight
Awaiting in season and out. From dawn to dusk, inheritance as birth-right.
