Breath Shared: Second in the series of The Psalm of The Bride
Inhale,
Hold still,
Exhale slowly.
Feel the breath as it leaves your lungs, your body — then the void.
Waiting,
The emptiness,
Prior to the Fullness.
Now breathe in the molecules of oxygen; see them as flows of air, streaming in Life.
Now feel,
The pressure filled,
The rush of need met.
The life living once more through shores foreign and far, sharing the same breath filtered.
We unified,
Breathing,
Living in Love,
The saints sown now in gardens overflowing begin to flower in radiant gradients where grown.
Our breath,
His Breath,
Our shared Life.
As we inhale deep and stark, knowing that we will shudder the chains in gloomy dark.
We together,
Unified,
One in Spirit,
Participating in the Breath He breathes as the air, and in community we the saints sealed share.
Life,
Loss,
Longing.
United by invisible threads as gossamer as spider’s silk weaving and waving in the wind.
Fire,
Scattered,
Near and far,
To enkindle the blaze within hearts shuttered and in darkness dwelling
That His Name would be praised and rise as our anthem, an unseen wave of worship swelling.
Let us join and share the perfection in cracked glass and broken earthenware,
That the Beauty would be known.
The greatest gift
we the Children of
God can receive
Is to share Him with all.
