Glory Galvanized in Faith’s Furnace
Zeal Mingled With Love
When beholding the Absolute Radiance,
it is not possible to see without loss.
Self mingled with sin is challenged,
burned away like morning mist in summer’s heat.
When beholding, we are Beheld.
Flaws, deep rooted in opposition to Spirit,
are seared away as dross from refined silver.
Still seeing the burning furnace of Light,
we step closer,
even as flesh flinches at the pain to come.
This Love, so pure,
defies the wisdom of the world.
Knowledge, vessels,
all shaped by the Potter’s hand,
all sanctified for His use.
Pieces fall, severed in self sacrifice,
willingly given, cauterized
by faith in Love with the Love.
Glory magnifies in flaws purged,
that He might be seen and known.
Fools though we are,
still nearer we draw,
that He would be All in all,
seen through what He sees.
Zeal drives us,
moths to flame in Radiant Life,
enamored with the Source,
that He might live in us.
Temples fall,
cathedrals walk demolished,
that new form may rise,
absence without, yet Fullness within.
