If You Want Revival, Pray for Persecution?

I am not saying that we should do this by any means, for all will come to pass in His perfect time. I am just explaining what it historically looks like and will look like.

For “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver” (Malachi 3:3).

Revival is never born in ease — it is forged in the furnace of affliction, where faith is tried until it gleams.

“Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction” (Isaiah 48:10).

If you press the Holy Spirit by placing pressure in the form of pain — emotional, spiritual, or physical — upon the vessel, you will see the repercussions of explosive reaction from the Spirit Himself.

Just as the fire beneath the altar releases fragrance upward, pressure upon the faithful releases presence.

Moses learned this when the burden grew too heavy and the Spirit broke out upon the seventy elders: “As soon as the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied” (Numbers 11:25).

The best way to disguise the presence of the Holy Spirit is to never challenge it or stir it.

This is the lullaby of comfort, the doctrine of ease:

“Woe to those who are at ease in Zion” (Amos 6:1).

Teach the people not to recognize their need and they will cease to call upon Him.

Why ask for a miracle when a doctor can supply certainty?

Why seek manna when there are storehouses full?

The mandate of the Enemy is clear:

Do not press it.

Do not stress it.

Do not allow it to be needed.

Replace it with systems, and supplement faith with certainty.

For “when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses… then your heart will be lifted up, and you will forget the LORD your God” (Deuteronomy 8:12–14).

But I have heard the whisper that carries no sound, spoken from the altar before the Throne.

I have witnessed the herald and tell you true: we are shaped like diamonds.

There is no substitute for time, pressure, heat, persecution, and conflict.

Job knew this: “When He has tried me, I shall come out as gold” (Job 23:10).

Any word that tells you otherwise is openly lying.

Revival does not bloom in ease; it rises where the Spirit is pressed,

where chaos broods and faith calls light into being,

just as “the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the deep” (Genesis 1:2).
