War’s Mothers
Tangled snarls of prayers,
hopelessly intertwined,
yarned round
captured, held, and heard
Names, Adonai, Allah, God, Yeshua, and Jesus,
Cried in earnest supplication
Messy mediation, priests perverting purity,
Conflicting casualties, war withheld,
Future mothers’ wombs barren, grieved
One seeks protection, earnest in her sincerity,
faithful in believing
Another for justice, avenge the blood of our young,
Give me my children!
Still more for peace in turbulent times
From all and to All
The Master of heavenly glories hears, receives,
Peering through Yeshua’s lens
Vindication, suffering, all dies are cast,
Each side considered and fully known.
A maestro conducting symphonic transcendence, the Father weaves
Tales here, defeat in victory there, miracles hidden, revealed
Written, inked in blood, love absolute
Protection for the weak, justice for the wronged,
Comfort for the crushed
With eyes we may never see the unseen,
Nevertheless, we believe
Redemptive resurrection,
In faithful suffering, hopeful endurance, we receive
