Words As Water
Experiments in Fluidity

There are just some days…
Ones that make it seem like the words
Are imitating water,
Where grammar flows freely.
Ripple-soft at others,
A plink, a plunk,
Surface tension breaking,
Spooled radiance from shallow drops.
Still some like rapids rush,
Harsh and broad, strong yet fluid,
Solid in their wash,
Crashing, colliding, capped in froth.
Steady,
Rise,
Fall,
Torrents tumble over cliff-face,
Down beneath,
Pooling low.
To the Greatest Name, Above All Names.
